Chinchilla Hose Company Rescue and Ambulance assisted the Newton Ransom Fire Department Saturday night on a one vehicle rollover in the 1000 block of Newton Road, in Newton Township. Newton Ransom Fire and Ambulance (Station 8) were dispatched to a multi-vehicle crash at 22:05 with the possibility of rollovers and ejections on scene.

Station 8 crews requested additional resources to the scene at 22:16 brining Ambulance 2-9, Rescue 2, Car 2 with Chief 2B, along with additional BLS and ALS ambulances. The crash involved a single passenger vehicle that was on its roof in the middle of the road. Five individuals were inside the vehicle at the time of the crash. Four victims were transported to local hospitals aboard; 2-9, 5-9 (Dalton) and 8-9. The fifth victim fled the scene, but was later discovered to be at Moses Taylor Hospital transported by friends…South Abington Township and PA State Police were notified.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
