Smoke Condition at Nichols Village PDF Print E-mail

     On Tuesday January 19, 2010 at approximately 0409 hours an automatic fire alarm box was struck for 1101 Northern Boulevard at the Inn at Nichols Village in South Abington Township.  South Abington Police Car 2-2 (J. Waters) arrived on scene and reported a smoke condition on division 4.  Chief 2A (Connolly) requested a 2nd alarm due to the Hotel being occupied and the smoke condition.  After units began to arrive and investigate, the source of the smoke was located coming from a roof top HVAC unit.  The source was contained to the roof top HVAC unit.  Units cleared the scene after ventilating and checking for extension at approximately 0522 hours.
