Chinchilla Hose Company, Rescue 2 assisted Station 23 Dickson City on Monday at the scene of a motor vehicle accident. The single vehicle accident required the driver to be rescued after her SUV tumbled down a steep embankment.

The crash happened Monday afternoon in Dickson City's busy shopping area. Witnesses say the driver took a turn too fast along Viewmont Drive. The initial job was dispatched at 13:38 with Car 23 requesting Rescue 2 at 13:51. After gaining access to the victim within the SUV, rescue crews used a rope system to pull her up more than 100' so she could be taken to the hospital. Police are investigating what led to the wreck in Lackawanna County.
