28 Total Fire/Rescue Jobs in June 2010. Chinchilla Hose Company Ambulance 2-9 was dispatched on 67 EMS jobs in June in addition to dispatches and responses on most Fire Department boxes. Total Chinchilla Hose Company Incidents in June: 95.

On Friday June 18th Chinchilla Hose Company was dispatched at 22:41 for a tractor trailer rollover on Interstate 81 South at Mile Marker 194.  Car 2 (Captain Quinn) arrived on scene at 22:44 and confirmed a rollover with the trailer on its side across both lanes of the interstate.  Captain Quinn reported a fuel spill from the tractor and yeast from the trailers load on the road.  Ambulance 2-9 assessed the driver of the rig and obtained a refusal.  Rescue 2 controlled the fuel leak and assisted in some cleanup.  Brush 2 assisted in controlling traffic.  The scene was turned over to PSP at 00:03 and command was terminated.

RIT Training

Members of the Chinchilla Hose Company took part in a Rapid Intervention Team training session over the past two weeks.  CHC members were joined by several neighboring departments for these sessions in the township.  Various members completed a 16 hour state class, while in-house training was also conducted at a home scheduled to be raised in the coming weeks.
