Memorial Day Weekend Crash

Chinchilla Hose Company was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on Saturday night at 21:56 on I-81 South.  Car 2 with Chief 2B (Grierson) arrived on scene at 22:03 to find one car on the guardrail facing the road.  The two occupants of the vehicle refused medical treatment and left the scene with the Pennsylvania State Police.  Ambulance 2-9 returned to service at 22:32 and Rescue 2 and Car 2 at 23:07.

I-81 Rollover

Chinchilla Hose Company was dispatched for a tractor trailer rollover today at 11:24. Numerous reports of a fire proved to be unfounded. The first unit arrived at 11:30 with additional fire and ems units soon after. Command requested an additional BLS unit from Dickson City Ambulance upon discovery of a second vehicle involved in the crash. Units worked to control and contain a fuel leak while the crash victims were assessed. One victim was transported to a local hospital and one refusal was obtained on scene. All units CHC and Dickson City units were cleared from the interstate by 13:01. PSP and wreckers worked well into the late afternoon to clean up debris and remove the vehicles from the interstate.
